We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Design Engineer (Automation & Control) to join our team. Job descriptions:
- Work with other member of multi-disciplinary Engineers to review load profiles and design the Energy Storage System to meet load profiles requirements set out in the technical requirements;
- Develop, maintain, and update engineering standards (including engineering calculations) to ensure compliance with Company quality program;
- Provide recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection;
- Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing or Business development;
- Develop, design and implement automation and control solution for BESS;
- Identify and analyse problems and create solutions;
- Coordinate with electrical, civil and PV engineering team for complete packages for installation;
- Develop control philosophy, architecture, knowledge program structure details for the BESS;
- Model energy storage system performance, coordinate, obtain and integrate BMS, EMS and SCADA designs for BESS from third party monitoring companies;
- Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for owners, engineering firms and contractors;
- Investigate design factors such as but not limited to the function, durability, performance, efficiency, and contractual requirements;
- Other duties assigned by superiors
Job requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Engineering or equivalent;
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of automation and control engineering experience in power systems functions;
- Experience in developing, design and implementation, including trouble shooting of automation and control product;
- Knowledge in fundamental aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies and relate them to battery parameters;
- Knowledgeable and experience on manufacturing quality process of various battery technologies would be advantageous;
- Ability to concurrently support multiple projects;
- Experience in Linux/ major PLC and SCADA programming tools/ Python would be advantageous
