We are working closely with a global DC Operator which specializes in providing hyperscale and wholesale data centre solutions. To support our ongoing regional development, we are seeking a Key Account Manager who will play a pivotal role in establishing strategic partnerships, driving business growth, and ensuring top-notch service delivery to our partner's esteemed clients.

This role will be a driving force behind our partner's expansion in Asia, focusing primarily on new business development within the data centre industry. In addition to actively acquiring new clients (hunting for new logos), the KAM will manage key client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, enhancing revenue, and identifying opportunities for service expansion. This role demands a profound understanding of the data centre industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to cultivate enduring client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development:

  • Proactively seek and acquire new clients, with a focus on expanding our customer base.
  • Develop strategies for identifying and targeting potential clients in the colocation industry.
  • Lead and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.

- Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Continuously assess client satisfaction and address any challenges or issues they may encounter.

- Account Growth and Development:

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling colocation services.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to create customized solutions for clients.
  • Develop and implement account plans to maximize revenue from new and existing clients.

- Contract Management:

  • Negotiate and oversee contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with clients.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and address any deviations or discrepancies.

- Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical support, site managers, and finance, to meet client expectations and achieve company goals.
  • Share feedback and insights to enhance product and service offerings.

Key Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or possess 5 years of equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Have experience working as a salesperson in the data centre industry.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in new business development, with a focus on acquiring new clients.
  • Possess skills in managing forecasts and pipelines.
  • Exhibit strong abilities in persuasion, negotiation, and time management.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines effectively.
  • Superior communication skills and leadership qualities for engaging with all levels of an organization, including C-level executives.
