Job Purpose & Mission

In this context, CHC AMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa) with 1.3Bn€ sales accounting for almost one quarter of the GBU delivery, covering diverse geographies from Japan to India, is looking for a Region Brand and Innovation Lead with a specific focus on transformation of our digital consumer engagement and overall consumer experience.


With our 6 Global Brands (Allegra, Enterogermina, Essentiale, Buscopan, Dulcolax, Mucosolvan) now reporting Globally with full e2e accountability, the scope of this role from a brand building and innovation point of view is laser focused on our Local Brands. In AMEA today, they account for 70% of our Region sales and 50% of our growth. She/He will raise the bar in all areas of consumer engagement and consumer led innovation, in close collaboration with local market, global teams & cross-functional stakeholders and build AMEA capability on consumer experience with specific attention on our digital and social engagement and agile innovation development. This role is critical in delivering a heightened delivery of a best-in-class holistic consumer-centered brand approach, creating true Love Brands, activating meaningful Brand Purpose, and ensuring Excellence in execution all along the delivery of this strategy, to achieve stronger competitive and market leadership advantage.


Within CHC AMEA our Brand Portfolio includes local gems such as EVE & Alesion in Japan, Lactacyd in SEA, Doliprane in Africa, Depura in India and Cenovis in South Korea & Australia with opportunities abound. Working hand in hand with the B&I Head this role will lead critical partnerships with identified brand/market combinations to drive best in class consumer experience and consumer led innovation development.


Key Accountabilities

Ensure best in class, digital first, approach to brand building from all marketers in AMEA

  • Monitor paid/owned/earned performance on a monthly basis (using Temple in particular) and checking compliance against main KPIs (digital spend, share of 1PD, website score) in order to flag any under-performance and address accordingly.
  • Build capability with specific local brands on experience planning, creativity and edutainment, data-driven marketing and websites experience (for instance E2E XP, brand content and purpose, website revamps, evergreen briefs on 2 AMEA brands).
  • Monitor and assess where the local brands stand regarding all CXA fundamentals and help build roadmap to elevate performance.
  • Establish and manage digital squads in AMEA to power data-driven media, content and websites

Develop brand innovation

  • Leveraging the “voice of the consumer” in partnership with local and global CXI teams (combination of all signals coming from our consumers such as social listening, ratings and reviews, on-site surveys etc), to develop a clear framework to be rolled out in AMEA.
  • Work with Zones to maximise NPD launches to make innovation ideas bigger and better based upon the VOC.
  • Establish post-launch analytics routine with Growth Performance team

Support new marketing pilots

  • Generative AI (for content, innovation, assets and for specific brands) test and learn.
  • CRM roll out from learnings in ANZ to 2 AMEA MW/SH brand/mkts.


Animating the B&I community via quarterly calls to share news and learnings

Ideal Background

Experience

  • Global business leader with an excellent track record (at least 10 years of marketing experience in FMCG / CHC).
  • Extensive experience in CX and digital transformation at regional/global level.
  • Extensive experience and strong track record in strategic and operational marketing including insight generation and activation
  • P&L management and accountability
  • International experience: working outside of own cultural environment; across multiple countries / geographies

Qualification

  • Business or Marketing degree; an MBA is a plus
