Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- 10+ Years of Information Technology experience
- Hands on experience in Advanced ORACLE Database Administration (Senior Oracle DBA) with GoldenGate
Essential Skills:
- 8+ Years of working experience in Oracle RAC installation/ database setup, configuration, patching, upgradation, migration & administration of Oracle 11g,12c & 19c databases in RHEL-RedHat Enterprise Linux Operating Platform
- Expert understanding with Oracle RAC Database Technical Architecture, Best Practices, Various Oracle Releases Key Features and Performance Optimization Techniques and know-how on Managing Database workload efficiently
- Very Strong Oracle Performance Tuning and Query Optimization skills
- Work experience managing database user account/privileges - access management
- Hands-on experience with SQL scripting - Table design, Schema Maintenance, Table Partitioning, database links and Oracle’s parallel execution features.
- Working experience with Oracle GoldenGate - data replication/integration tool including heterogeneous replication setup in the distributed database infrastructure platform.
- Expert Troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills
- Experience in RMAN backup/recovery and data pump export/import utility & Database Cloning.
- Administer database security according to documented procedures.
- Perform periodic database maintenance, including patching, regular database backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery tests.
- Proactive problem management-database performance review, early detection of potential performance issues and fine tuning/optimization
- Data Guard/Standby database to maintain disaster recovery env for business continuity
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager/resource monitoring and threshold alerting tools
- Working closely with Application Admin/developer for the business applications roadmap/compatibility matrix and plan for upgrading the Database engine to the latest release
· Work with Site Reliability Engineering team for the Database infrastructure Modernization
- Perform on-going support on database issues and ticket management and other specific Database administration duties as defined in Working Practices
- Provide after-hours and on-call support to critical databases.
- Knowledge ofScripting Languages like shell or perl for standardization and automation.
- At least 4 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on support and maintenance projects.
- Ability to work in team in diverse/multiple stakeholder env with adequate analytical skills
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
- The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
- Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
Preferred skills
· Experience in Cloud Database Administration (AWS RDS, Azure DB) , Open Source and other DB Technology (PostgreSQL, MySQL) as secondary skill
