POSITION SUMMARY
He/she is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination between warehouses and forwarder, 3PL experience to maintain efficient for smooth operations. Candidate is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the logistics/shipping operations in a growing company.
Responsibilities
Import& Export| Warehouse | Inventory Management
- Overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations.
- Managing inbound inventories and warehouse
- Communicate with the agency regarding the time for unloading goods and when to remove containers from the warehouse.
- Manage customs dispute. if any.
- Warehouse management - Manage 3PL (inventory counts, commit shipment, etc.)
- Process customs clearance and ascertain the GST (Goods and Services Tax) amount to be paid.
- Coordinate and manage inbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare shipping documents.
- Plan, coordinate, execute and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries (including receipt, storage, dispatch of goods and updating into the system).
- Manage goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
- Regularly arrange for the disposal of defective merchandise.
- Manage monthly financial settlements with the warehouse.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Min. NITEC/Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Shipping/Supply Chain, particularly in a 3PL context.
- Min 1 year experience in Logistics/Shipping/supply chain management.
- Strong coordination skills with warehouses and agencies.
- Proficiency in inventory management and quality control.
- Effective communication and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of import regulations and tax duties (e.g., GST).
- Experience in starting up (e.g. individual) company.
- Willing to travel to warehouse if necessary (2 -3 time/Month, Transport allowance claimable)
- Well versed in MS office e.g. Excel.
