Looking for a conscientious edger with the willingness to learn and develop skill set in the spectacle lens processing field in our Cut, Edge and Fit lab. To excel in this role, you need to be meticulous yet agile to be able to operate different equipment/machine in the process flow of completing a spectacle lens order, fitted into a spectacle frame.
Responsibilities
1) QC1 – To perform quality checks (incoming & outgoing) independently
a. Perform quality checks on incoming Lens & frames
b. Monitor and control WIP (Work in process) jobs
c. To Clean the lens, inspection of the lenses visual, centration & Frame conditions
d. Perform Checks for Urgent Job, ensure its been processed and delivered according to request date/timing
2) Cut, Edge – To operate lens edging machine independently (i.e.: Nidek, MEI, WECO)
a. To perform spectacle frame tracing and perform lens blocking
b. Familiar in spectacle frame and lens design & identify the best way to cut the lens for all types of frames
c. Perform daily Equipment Calibration and maintenance
3) Fitting/Assemblying – To Understand the various frame designs in the market and the best way to fit lens into
the frames
a. Familiar across the various functions of spectacle lens processing
