In order to achieve further development of the group's business as a whole, we are implementing a major reorganization in which our Singapore-based company named JGC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (JGCAP) be positioned as a regional headquarters to oversee group companies in the APAC region. With this reorganization and transformation, we are looking for a new 'Business Project Manager', who are required to act as the top of newly-established organization responsible for business development and its project management in new business domains (in areas of chemicals, life sciences, pharmaceutical, industrial and urban infrastructure, etc.).
[Job Description]
- Work closely with Director of the company, as a lead of new organization, to develop sales and project development/management strategies and drive its execution for business expansion to achieve the company's targets.
- Take a lead for sales activities, concurrently as technical sales, to customers together with Director and sales team of the company covering Singapore and its neighbouring markets in APAC region to penetrate new business domain.
- Work closely with Director and sales department of the company, from the viewpoint of technical aspect, interpret market segment information and secure business opportunities in new business domains in Singapore and its neighbouring countries in APAC region.
- Take a lead of a series of process from development of project by eliciting needs from customers and making proposals, to receiving orders and successfully executing them, including;
1. Evaluate, screen, review and make decisions on whether or not to work on the project.
2. Negotiate several conditions of contract with clients.
3. Initiate and responsible for organizing a team and execute estimation work & project operation.
4. Collect execution data and conducts a post-implementation review internally.
- Responsible for project management and execution of all types of PJ (FEED and EPC such as, conceptual design, basic & detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) in the field of new business domains.
- Communicate with various stakeholders, including partners, vendors, subcontractors, relevant government agencies and customers (including existing and new customers) in Singapore and across the APAC region to build and maintain trusting relationships.
- Manage and ensure sound performance (including cost, time, quality and safety) in the projects carried out by the organization. The role is expected to report to the Director on a regular or as-needed basis on the performance of the projects as required to achieve the goals of JGCAP and the Group as a whole.
[Job Requirement]
- 10+ years of experience in managing EPC projects in the oil & gas or industrial and urban infrastructure related industry.
- In-depth working knowledge of industrial code and standards commonly applied to oil & gas EPC project such as API, ASTM, IBC is a must.
- At least 3 years of experience in Feasibility Study, Front-End Engineering Design, and EPC projects in the oil & gas or industrial and urban infrastructure related industry as a Project Manager.
- At least 10 years' experience of client-facing and communication in the oil & gas or industrial and urban infrastructure related industry, as well as experience of leading the communication with 3rd party vendors or subcontractors for effective execution of projects.
- Proven track record of developing project and winning orders through several approach of proposal to client.
- In depth knowledge and experience in Lump-Sum Turn Key-basis EPC project in the Asia-Oceania region.
- Experience of leading a team of more than 30 employees.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to think "outside the box" to solve problems.
