JOB SUMMARY

To coordinate and execute the various Marketing Communications activities undertaken by the department, to build and maintain good media relations and to ensure the upkeep of the Hotel’s image.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Branding / Marketing Collaterals / Reports

- Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.

- Support offline and online activities and initiatives to bolster the property's reputation and image in the media and in the community (e.g. social media).

- Develop marketing materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials, maps) for promotional events, property tours, and conferences.

- Prepare or edit letters, invitations, monthly and quarterly press reports, Owner’s presentation and news releases, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation format.

2. Media Relations

- Prepare media releases and coordinate dissemination of press kits.
- Handle media enquiries, consistent updates to establish good relations with media.
- Refer requests for information from the media to an appropriate spokesperson or information source.
- Support media relations outreach efforts, including pitching ideas and events, interview facilitation, and media tours.
- Coordinate on-property visits from media, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining.
- File information and update press database, including list of all media contacts and media distribution lists (e.g., contact information, magazine circulation and demographics).
- Assist with on-site media relations for local events, including, but not limited to, grand openings/anniversaries, marketing/promotional events, and other press functions.

3. Media Clipping

- File and update press database, digital library, and press clippings.
- Monitor media coverage and other external factors to identify potential or actual problem areas and opportunities.

4. Website Management

- Make updates to property website by making changes directly to the website or by coordinating with appropriate others in order to make updates.
- To ensure information is uploaded on time and work with various departments to get information submission is timely.

5. Database Management

- Oversee the management of the database.
- Coordinate with various departments for regular updates.

6. Budget: Expense Report and Accruals

- Coordinate the timely submission of Purchase Orders / Invoices.
- Compile the monthly expense and accrual reports.

7. To ensure and follow established procedures and compliance as per LSOP guidelines.


8. General Duties / Administrative Matters

- Respond to all daily general media inquiries via email, phone, and/or written correspondence.
- Attend weekly Promotions Meeting and to take minutes if necessary.
- Assist in organizing activities wherever needed.

9. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Diploma in Marketing Communications or relevant courses attained.
  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience in handling marketing communications & digital marketing.
  • Great interpersonal skills & communication skills.
  • Proactive & teamwork.
  • Able to start work as soon as possible.
