XCL American Academy has a vacancy for an Admissions Manager who is a highly energetic, team-oriented, customer-service focused, and sales-driven professional, who is keen on leaving his/her mark on a very dynamic business and environment.
As a member of the frontline team, the Admissions Manager will play a significant role in driving and growing the admissions sales, as well as helping to target and reach goals set out for both the individual and the team. The Admissions Manager plays an important role in representing and providing senior-level advice to prospective and current families in all aspects of school enrollment from nursery to grade 8.
Main Responsibilities
- Qualify and convert visits into firm applications, helping to drive new enrolments.
- Develop personal rapport with prospective parents and students.
- Conduct pre-visit surveys to gather as much information on the specific needs, background, and profile of each parent and student as possible to prepare and tailor the approach for each family.
- Deliver personalized and excellent customer journeys to each prospective parent and student.
- Conduct 1 to 1 and/or group tours of the school and answer parent and student queries during post-tour consultations.
- Provide post-tour follow-up with each individual family, continuing to foster a personal relationship.
- Ensure that CRM system records pertaining to families and admissions are maintained and captured accurately.
- Act as a brand ambassador, present the school’s value proposition and appreciate individual parent and student needs to sell the school effectively to prospective families.
- Build relationships with key partners, affiliates, and influencers in the local communities.
- Assist families from the application process through to enrolment.
- Keep up to date with the latest teaching practices in the American Common Core Curriculum.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and diplomacy in all dealings with applicant families, including cultural sensitivity towards applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Ability to represent the ethos and values of the School.
Person Specifications
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business Management or other related courses.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working in a similar role in an International School, managing direct customer contact, ideally gained in a customer service or sales role in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in person and over the phone.
- Excellent presentation and influencing / persuasion skills in one-on-one and group settings.
- Outstanding time management and organisation skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A team-player who is able to work with different parties to achieve the overall goal.
- Result oriented and driven by successful outcomes.
- Experience in use of multiple customer databases, CRM tools and digital/ online platforms.
- Must have outstanding, native level communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in a second language (eg, Mandarin) would be a plus factor as the role requires communication with Mandarin speaking associates.
