What You Will Do
The Senior Marketing Manager plays a key strategic leadership role within the Asia Pacific Self Care franchise, a stronghold business and high-performing business unit. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of the global strategy and local brand relevance and implementation. This position reports into the Marketing Director, Self Care and will be based in Singapore. The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for building the category and driving sustainable growth for Smoking Cessation, with key focus on high potential markets across Asia Pacific. They will be leading Brand building, Business delivery and Commercial and New Product Innovation launches, consistently seeking to improve health outcomes for consumers.
Main responsibilities
The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for Smoking Cessation strategies, in partnership with lead markets and Global teams. This individual will serve on the Smoking Cessation Franchise Leadership Team (FLT). Specifically, the Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and enhance the Strategic Plan and growth model including 3-year operating priorities spanning market entry, innovation pipeline, commercial innovation, learning plan, and brand communications
- Lead the Asia-Pacific Smoking Cessation Franchise Leadership Team (FLT), ensuring all members have a deep understanding & alignment to key operating priorities & deliverables, external landscape, and market needs.
- Build out the innovation pipeline, outlining clear priorities and enhancing pipeline value. Identify pipeline pacing principles, and build out NPD and commercial innovation workstreams to fill gaps. Partner with markets and cross-functional team to identify and validate consumer and healthcare professional opportunities, build & reinforce the business case, and support execution through governance and launch planning.
- Represent & reinforce Global equity foundation & strategy within the Region. Build out & enhance brand foundation, including insights generation, relevant brand positioning, and recommended local adaption of global brand architecture.
- Support the global development of advertising and innovation, crystallizing and sharing AP insight and feeding into creative process, toolkits, and innovation pipelines in lead markets.
- Partner across markets and Global teams to identify and transfer success models, learnings and best practices
- Partner with Business Insights, Finance and Local markets to understand business drivers, and recommend adaptions to the business plan and/or strategic plan where relevant, ultimately enabling achievement of growth targets
- Create a high-performance environment, building capability in market and a culture of collaboration, innovation and trust.
What We Are Looking For
- A University degree is required. Masters degree in business or marketing specialization preferred.
- Min 10 years of experience in setting a vision and executing in a similar integrated brand leadership role within a consumer organization, preferably with healthcare industry experience.
- Experience in successful partnership with R&D & Medical Affairs organizations to develop innovative products and claims
- Experience in providing marketing thought leadership—taking consumer & healthcare professional insights and using them to drive recommendations and good decisions
- Experience with analytics and digital marketing
- Ability to shape concepts & ideas, with senior stakeholders, through clear thinking and effective communications
- Experience leading in a matrixed, global organization, collaborating with diverse groups and leading cross functional teams
- Demonstrated financial acumen in making effective business decisions
- Proven record in project management
- Experience working in Consumer healthcare is preferred
- Ability to speak Mandarin is not essential but would be an advantage
- Travel may be required, up to 20% international travel
