The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with a French giant retailer with a global presence across 36 markets worldwide, and we are seeking a talented individual to join their business as an Assistant Manager, Category Management! The successful candidate will be handling the skincare category for the Singapore market to drive category strategies and initiatives, while managing product and brand assortment, price point, floorplan, and inventory management.

The Job:
- Spearhead negotiations for trading terms and conduct comprehensive business reviews
- Formulate the annual brand plan, encompassing product launches, sales targets, and contract maintenance
- Take the lead in introducing new brands into the portfolio
- Oversee the sell-in process for new brands, ensuring alignment of sales forecast
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless omnichannel launch plans, execution and tracking of launch performance
- Strategize and secure prime animation slots for brands, while driving thematic animations, including product assortment, targeting, and stock ordering
- Set objectives and work with brand partners to negotiate in-store mechanics and promotions
- Monitor and analyze animation performance, assortment gaps, and opportunities based on sales ambitions and category strategies
- Collaborate with space planners and visual merchandising teams to optimize category zones, and propose new store floorplans for regional team's approval
- Coordinate with brand partners on fixtures, stocks, and merchandising for new store openings and renovations
- Partner with the supply chain team to achieve stockholding KPIs and ensure deliveries meet launch plans and campaigns
- Review stock on hand and propose action plans for high stockholding and discontinued SKUs
The Talent:
- Minimally 4 years of relevant experience in the retail industry coupled with a strong background in category management
- Ability to formulate strategies and analytically inclined with proficiency in handling extensive data, capable of conceptualizing and turning data into meaningful analyses
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with various levels of stakeholders
- Meticulous and good time management skills to meet tight deadlines
