Job Title: Social Service Manager

Location: Telok Blangah

Working Days: Mon to Sat 9am to pm & Sat 9am to 1pm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a team to make sure our Social Service Centre runs smoothly every day.
  • Guide and motivate the team to achieve program goals.
  • Create workplans that align with agency goals.
  • Check both inside and outside the program to find ways to improve and better meet client needs.
  • Supervise the creation of programs based on what clients need.
  • Coach the team on managing casework, assessing needs, and making intervention plans.
  • Handle complex issues and visit homes with the team when necessary.
  • Keep up service standards through program supervision and monitoring outcomes.
  • Lead Social Service Centre community outreach by working with external partners like volunteers, corporate partners, donors, and grassroots community members.
  • Manage the program's budget and finances, including funding applications and fundraising events.
  • Work closely with all corporate function teams to ensure the organization runs smoothly.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Deputy/Director or CEO to support the cultivation of the agency’s values, vision and mission within the team.

Qualifications/ requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work and have at least seven years of work experience in social work after graduating.
  • Be accredited in social work by SASW. If you have counselling experience and professional accreditation in that field, you can also apply.
  • Have a strong desire to work with children and families facing challenges.
  • Show leadership skills and have at least three years of experience managing people, along with strong skills in managing relationships with different groups of people.
  • Be excellent at communicating and presenting information, both verbally and in writing.
  • A good team player and be able to work alone, with strong problem-solving skills. Handle multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities at the same time.
  • Know the laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to social work.
  • Be proficient in English, both speaking and writing.
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Office and online platforms for engagement. Flexible to work on some evenings and Saturdays.
