The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are listed as, but not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the Front Office operations, including Reception, Telephone, Concierge & Bell Service, Executive Club.
- Coordinates with Reservations, Engineering and Housekeeping in a full house situation and makes all necessary arrangements to handle overbooking and pledge relocations.
- Coordinates and monitors major group movements and making such action plans covers all areas of operations.
- Work closely with other departments, management, and Front Office Manager in resolving any major issues faced during operations and ensure compliance with the current policies, standards, and procedures.
- Make decision regarding operational issues in the absence of the Front Office Manager / Director of Operations.
- Recruits, interviews, and hires staff
- Plan and prepare work schedules for the Front Desk team.
- Ensure Staff performances are being monitored and they are working within the policy and procedure set by the management.
- Conducts and attends relevant meetings regularly.
- Controls expenses to achieve maximum profitability without compromising on guest services and standards.
- Handles all guest correspondence and feedback to ensure follow-up and prompt replies.
- Ensure all issues and concerns regarding DM’s Log Entry are closed with thorough follow up actions.
- To monitor, make amendments and implement Front Office operations procedures.
- To plan, organize and conduct staff training programme
- To monitor and follow up on high balance reports to ensure bad debts are minimized.
- Responsible in scheduling, equipment maintenance, supply requisition and daily reports
- To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.
