Responsibilities:
1. Take ownership of the assigned product throughout its lifecycle, from design inception to end-of-life.
- Create and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Supervise the entire product development process, from design to NPI and site transfer, through to production ramp-up.
- Coordinate with relevant functional departments and teams to address any roadblocks hindering the progress of assigned products.
- Engage in continuous product improvement efforts, focusing on cost reduction and process enhancements.
2. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to oversee production releases.
- Communicate with design centers, Product Managers, Supply Chain Management, Outsource Management, Quality, Reliability & Assurance, Purchasing, and Order Fulfillment teams for the completion of production release documentation.
- Conduct reviews and meetings related to Production Releases to address outstanding issues.
- Govern the aspects of project planning and initiation, ensuring closure of all production release documentation.
- Offer guidance and support to manufacturing sites to achieve target yield for production release.
3. Provide support to design centers during prototype builds and data collection before pilot runs.
- Coordinate resources for building prototypes as needed by design centers.
- Collaborate with suppliers and the purchasing team to secure component resources for prototype builds.
- Work with manufacturing sites to collect Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) data for feedback to the Design team.
- Ensure the completeness of technical documentation and maintain up-to-date records in the database.
4. Effectively manage the Bill of Material (BOM) and SAP using standard practices, including Engineering Change Notification (ECN) management.
- Maintain the superBOM with standard part numbers.
- Collaborate closely with the Group Material Master Custody (GMMC) team to ensure SAP data integrity.
- Take responsibility for disseminating Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) to all stakeholders, ensuring proper change management procedures are followed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics preferred
- Diploma holders with related experience are also welcome to apply
- 3-5 years experience is preferred
- Work experience in Product transfer in Electronic Industry as a plus
- Ability to multitask and strong computer knowledge as a plus
- Able to travel Singapore and Malaysia frequently
