Service Engineer (Factory Automation / Logistics Automation)
Job Description:
- Handle the Installation, supervision, commissioning and troubleshooting of company's products and systems with a focus on Track and Trace related Code Scanning and RFID Solutions.
- Responsible to complete all assigned tasks in collaboration with HQ Technical Support team and Service Team to resolve challenges.
- Initiate self-competency development to complete assigned tasks and ensure they are well equipped to perform the expected work.
- Monitor and track common faults/failures in the equipment and feedback to any relevant Product Team and Headquarters.
- Site coordination with customers and partners to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Aid in preparation of clear site reports on issues, any causes identified, any actions done and / or to be followed up.
- Conduct training for customers, partners, and peers.
- Provide phone and email support, as requested.
- Support pre-sales site survey for upgrade or retrofit projects.
- Assist in obtaining customer feedback on services rendered.
- Remain compliant to all company and department policies, workflows, and processes as well as customer safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
- At least a Diploma in Automation/Engineering Discipline or any other relevant ones.
- Minimum 1-3 years of industrial equipment/system service experience.
- Willing to travel for any overseas assignments (if required).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with stakeholder efficiently and effectively, building good rapport with them.
- Possess an Inquisitive and eager to learn mindset to understand system design and technology in-depth.
- Identification of root causes and recommended actions.
- Determined and proactive mindset to look for help and alternatives to ensure timely resolution of challenges.
