What you will be working on

For the benefit of citizens and employers, the Agency Services Group implements and administers schemes, such as GST Voucher, Workfare Income Supplement, on behalf of various Government agencies. The work is diverse and dynamic, giving officers the opportunity to collaborate with various government agencies and stakeholders to enhance the lives of Singaporeans from all walks of life. As an Assistant Director overseeing the Contribute-As-You-Earn (CAYE) scheme, you will play a pivotal role in formulating, developing, and enhancing operational policies and processes. Your dynamic responsibilities include engaging with internal and external stakeholders to optimize efficiency, co-create business solutions, and elevate customer service experiences for Self-Employed Persons (SEPs) and Corporate Service Buyers (CSBs). This multifaceted role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the interest of SEPs and make a positive impact on their lives.

The broad area of your responsibilities include

  • Lead and facilitate discussions to formulate and assess operational policies and processes to ensure the successful administration of the CAYE scheme.
  • Spearhead partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including Finance, IT support, and vendors, to co-create business and IT solutions that optimize efficiency and enhance customer service journeys for SEPs and CSBs.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders across government and private entities to support the expansion of the CAYE scheme.
  • Provide statistical analysis for policy and operational reviews, contributing to evidence-based decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market changes, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Supervise and guide the team to ensure project milestones are delivered on time, and scheme implementation and administration align with policy objectives.

What we are looking for

  • At least 8 years of work experience in policy work and process development with 4 years in a supervisory role, showcasing leadership capabilities and effective team management.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, synthesizing information from various sources to make informed decisions and drive effective strategies.
  • Creative and resourceful mindset, capable of leveraging opportunities and engaging stakeholders to develop innovative solutions.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas effectively.
  • Good knowledge of industry trends, market changes, and emerging technologies.

Seniority of appointment will commensurate with relevant work experience
