Deskside Support Engineer

· Provide 1st level diagnosis to hardware and software related issues.

· Assist the End User in providing information or to perform an IT related task when required, e.g., guide the End User to change local printer set-up, change local printer ribbon.

· Basic troubleshooting related to hardware, system software, applications, network connection or devices, virus or malware intrusion or usage.

· Resolve all HW/SW PC and laptop problems or escalate it to the respective technical support personnel/team by informing the Help Desk.

· Aid Asset Management staff regarding asset checking.

· Provide and ensure that all Operating System build versions are the same for all PCs/laptops and that all devices are security hardened (meaning services or applications not needed by the Buyer like games etc. are not installed or configured).

· Mitigate, remediate, clean and/or format PCs/laptops immediately that have been identified with security threat or suspicious activities, processes, virus/malware and the like.

· Perform basic troubleshooting and if needed basic administration tasks on MS Active Directory, Symantec Endpoint and other system software running on endpoint PCs or laptop
Assistance in setting up Projectors, Teleconference and Videoconference units.

· Assistance in setup and configuration of mobile phones and tablets (ex. VIP request to setup newly acquired mobile phone and tablet, transfer of files from old mobile phone to the new)

· Assistance in setting up of network connectivity.

· Assistance on how to use or operate Wireless Projector; any break fix and/or maintenance support required shall be provided by the Buyer.

· Standby support for Boardroom meetings

· Standby support for the Office of the Chairman meetings and events

· Setup computers and connection for Training rooms.

· Perform laptops, desktops and peripherals preventive maintenance and cleaning.

· Prepare reports and assure that information is readily available.

· Configure and install network devices (Switches and Access Points)

· Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.

· Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

· Provide Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues related to Switches and Access Points

· Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.

· Collaborate with vendors and other IT members for issue/problem resolution, and project implementation.

· Workstation setup for end-users

· Software installation

. Manual OS and application patching as necessary

. On-site diagnosis, evaluation, and identification of recommended fix
