In E4B, we manage Expedia Group’s business-to-business (B2B) relationships, ranging from large airlines, hotels, vacation rentals, cruises, car rentals, financial institutions, travel agents and more - which connects partners with all that Expedia Group offers, in pursuit of their goals.
As an Apprentice at Expedia Group, your primary responsibility is to develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of relevant, attractive, and competitive hotel and property products for Expedia Group’s fast-growing global traveller base. This role works with lodging partners within their assigned territory to help increase the total number of potential customers in this market. The Market Management team ensures that global travellers always find the most suitable property for their dream trip, and that hotel partners can access Expedia Group’s full breadth of global traveller demand.
The apprenticeship program runs over 12 months, where you’ll be following a program curated for you, participate in on-the-job learning in one of our Market Management teams, with full support and coaching as an Apprentice Associate Market Manager during your time at Expedia Group. The program also offers Apprentices a unique opportunity to engage with our lodging partner as an Apprentice – Commercial Operations for a given duration. This experience is designed to help the Apprentice understand partner needs and product offerings.
Our Hybrid Work Policy means that the expectation is you spend at least 50% of your time in the office. When you are assigned your manager for your program, you will have a check-in with them to learn more about your specific team schedule and hybrid work plan. What you'll do:
- Develop and sustain strong partnerships by providing relevant data insights and high-quality consulting services to hotel partners, based on their requirements
- Ensure that partner hotels’ product offerings (content, rates, and availability) are regularly updated and remain effective on Expedia Group sites to positively impact customer growth
- Secure additional lodging rates and availability information over fluctuating demand periods to satisfy traveler needs
- Secure seasonal deals and promotions to support the brands’ merchandising and marketing strategy
- Continuously promote and develop hotel partners’ increased engagement with Expedia Group’s full range of:
Unique market insights such as partner reports, competitive data, key performance drivers;
In-house revenue management tools like Rev+;
Marketing and merchandising opportunities which may be dynamic promotions, packages, member deals or mobile offers, unique market insights such as partner reports, competitive data, key performance drivers; Exclusive brands including Hotwire, Media Solution etc. as potential opportunities;
Self-service tools (Expedia Partner Central) - Execute effectively based on KPI metrics (targets, goals, and/or strategic objectives)
- Guide and support Hotel Partners to deliver the best traveler experience
- Promote self-service
- Conduct regular self-learning to improve skills
- Opportunities to visit our hotel partners
Who you are:
- Must be available to commit to the full program dates of 12 months (tentative 19 Feb 2024 – 18 Feb 2025)
- Helpful to have experience in account management, partner/client success, consultative sales, or a related field
- Should have basic proficiency in English Language and passionate about travel
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team
- Should possess a strong appetite for innovative technology, fast-changing business environment, and data driven decision-making
- Should be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively to achieve targets, goals, and/or strategic objectives set by leadership
