Established for over 100 years in the Construction industry, they are a Japanese MNC leading in the design, installation and construction of electrical, air-conditioning and water hygiene systems. They are now looking for an experienced QS Engineer to assist their operations.
Location: Havelock
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 9.00am to 6.00pm
Responsibilities:
- Handle and calculate the quantity and costing of the different tender assignment. Technical review on the supplier/contractor quotation or proposal and ensure that all requirements are complied.
- Understand general contracts and various documents.
- Provide budget cost or estimates as per instruction.
- Liaise with suppliers for their products and services presentation.
- Design and source for solutions regarding any technical problems during tender.
- Communicate with other departments in dealing with various documents and issues.
- Coordinate with the supplier/contractor regarding follow up on bills and quantities.
- Evaluate and check on market unit rates monthly /quarterly for material and labour cost.
- Proper handover of all tender document and costing to project team once the tender is awarded.
- Reply tender clarification, preparation for tender interview and presentation.
Requirements:
- Min. Diploma in Engineering field, preferably Electrical Engineering or Triple E
- Min. 4-5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Preferably possess prior experience working with subcontractors/in a subcontractor environment
