Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in Design Reviews (System / Network / Security)
· Dealing with Installation Checkout Integration Testing (ICIT) - Preparation to handover to O&S
· Performing System Setup / Configuration from scratch
· Assist in gathering Material Management Data (MMD) ~ MTBF, SPARE
· Assist in 3rd Party IT Audit
· Perform Vulnerability Assessment and penetration test (VAPT) and Rectification
· Conduct On-Site Acceptance Test (OSAT)
· System Verification & Validation (V&V)
· Performing System Run-In-Test (SRIT)
· Providing User / Maintenance Crew Training
· Writing Script (Python / Bash / Batch) for automation testing/data retrieval.
· Producing System Engineering Documentation and reports
· Collaborates and manages various stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables within the guidelines, policies, and procedures.
· Liaising with 3rd party vendors, IT providers, etc. for support where required
· Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
· Defines customers’ needs and functionalities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related fields
- Ability to work with multiple operating systems (Unix - RHEL, Windows Server)
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- May require working during wee hours
- May require to work at site
- Will need non camera phone at certain work location
- Good to have – IT Security (e.g. RSA SecurID Encryption, Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)), Data Migration Tool and Infra Management Solution (e.g. Solarwinds, WSUS)
- At least more than 1 year of experience in System administration, including installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based or windows server environments.
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with network devices (e.g. firewall, switch) and networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
- Experience with monitoring systems and shell/bash script for task automation is an added advantage.
- Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks is an added advantage
- Pro-active, resourceful, willing to learn and able to work independently as well as in a team
