Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and business goals to promote growth.
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform business plans on commercial opportunities and understand future threats.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders to understand the needs of customers and devise plans for customer acquisition and retention.
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers while understanding their needs.
- Collaborate across departments, from marketing to sales and finance.
- Assist in setting financial targets and budget development.
- Monitor and report on performance of all commercial activities using key metrics.
- Create and communicate sales and operational goals and ensure executives are informed on progress of those goals.
- Collaborate with managers and department heads in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years in a senior leadership role in a field related to our industry.
- Masterful organisational, communication and leadership skills, proven by previous professional success.
- Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions, including finance, customer service, import and export, distribution, and employee management.
- Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands and market conditions.
- Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal requirements.
- Superior negotiation skills.
- Experience in developing budgets, cashflow projections and business plans that align with corporate aims of the company.
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software.
- BSc / BA / MSc / MA in business administration.
