RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, modification, and implementation of a modified Android AOSP for fine-graine monitoring of Android applications.
- Design, modification, and implementation of an Android kernel to support the modified AOSP.
- Design and implementation of an Android app that facilitates the communication between handsets and emulator.
- Experimenting the app and the modified AOSP and kernel on both real handsets and emulators.
- Evaluating the security capability and performance of the system.
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Relevant research experience in computer security and related areas is a plus.
- Advanced level of programming and software implementation, especially in C/C++ and Java.
- Good understanding of Android architecture and Android executables.
- Good analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeable in software security problems and solutions.
- Research experience in software and system security related research.
- Applicants with research publications in security area will be advantageous.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members.
