Key Accountabilities:
Technical requirements:
Understands the specifications and requirements in the area of mechanical rotating equipment (such as centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps and others) within the assigned package. - Responsible for mechanical design and selection of rotating equipment in accordance with applicable international codes according to ITB or relevant specification.
Engineering document preparation:
Under minimum guidance, prepares technical specifications/standards and requisitions.
Supplier selection:
Under minimum guidance, evaluates the technical and engineering aspects of bids received from suppliers and gives assessment to the senior engineer.
Supplier management:
Assists in placing and executing the orders. For approval, reviews submitted from suppliers’ documents (such as data sheets, drawings and procedures) for their fabrication and compliance. To be a focal point, communicates and coordinates with stakeholders.
Support for other discipline:
Provides technical/engineering support/visit and cooperates for raising the quality level at fabrication shop and participated in construction / commissioning work at site under guidance by the lead/senior engineers.
Technical issue resolution:
With minimum guidance, resolves technical issues using acquired knowledge during the execution of engineering stage, fabrication stage and post-delivery.
Compliance with HSSEQ policies:
To ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behavior.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector, preferable experience in off-shore application
- Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects
- Familiar with International Industry Codes such as ASME, API etc
-Able to speak and write proficient Eng and Jap has an addtional advantage.

Work Conditions
Most of the working time is in the office. Engineers can be sent to suppliers’ s sites/offices and project sites including Offshore for construction and commissioning support.
