Responsibilities:
- Visualize and assess the fulfillment status of materials in factories.
- Evaluate the need for advance or risk purchases of materials with long lead times and present proposals to management for approval.
- Collaborate with Procurement to update Purchase Information Records (PIR) in the system, facilitating the release of Purchase Orders (PO) from the system.
- Develop and implement plans for procuring raw materials from global suppliers.
- Examine PO shipping terms and storage locations.
- Generate POs for approved advance or risk buys.
- Maintain strong relationships and communication with manufacturing and key suppliers, confirming production/shipping schedules and monitoring open purchase orders for timely deliveries.
- Review supplier schedules and manage POs to be superseded by Contract Manufacturers (CM) or stored on-site, requiring communication with suppliers and factory purchasers.
- Coordinate and monitor shipments from the premises to CM.
- Evaluate factory orders/forecast demand, track open POs and inventory, ensuring depletion by the factory.
- Effectively manage holding stock in factories to maintain lean inventory levels.
- Analyze and report on inventory projections.
- Oversee CM materials purchasing fulfillment for full turnkey operations.
- Establish and cultivate positive relationships with CM, acting as a functional bridge between CM and internal stakeholders.
- Address and escalate CM issues related to materials status to the respective stakeholders.
- Conduct age inventory analysis and determine disposition.
- Provide recommendations for enhancing productivity and efficiency in supply chain activities.
- Prepare management reports.
- Execute special projects and assignments as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5 years experience in Planning/Supply chain area in the electronics manufacturing field required.
- Thorough understanding of the Supply Chain and MRP activities, prefer SAP knowledge.
- Good organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
- Good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities.
- Demonstrates time management and leadership skills.
- Using logic and reasoning to offer solutions to problems.
- Good in using excel analytical skill and good knowledge in Power BI.
