Piping/mech Inspector
Role and responsibilities
- The Piping & Mech inspectors shall ensure that the activities and scope for construction within the discipline is planned, qualified, executed and documented in accordance with the contract specifications.
- The inspector is reporting to Piping/Mech/HVAC Field Engineer.
Tasks and deliveries
- Continuously be a role model for HSE standards
- Follow-up and contribute to Contractors fabrication
- Ensure that Contractors site personnel are qualified in accordance with project requirements.
- Monitor work progress
- Ensure that all procedures are followed.
- Review selected drawings and documents issued by Contractor
- Ensure that systems and equipment are protected and preserved
- Ensure that fabrication documentation/records is issued by Contractor in accordance with requirements.
- Report deviations and highlight problem areas to Discipline lead
- Ensure completion for handover to commissioning, participate in area / system punch out as required.
- Participate in area / system punch out as required and monitor status.
- Ensure completion for handover to commissioning and correct status in ProCoSys.
- Monitor contractors commissioning activities.
- Ensure that all required fabrication records are prepared.
