About the Role:
As AWARE continues to advance and broaden its operations, we are thrilled to introduce the Director of Business Strategy position. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to the growth and revenue expansion of AWARE and its subsidiary, Catalyse Consulting Pte Ltd, in alignment with AWARE's mission, strategy and values.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development:
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion for AWARE's subsidiary, CCPL, in alignment with AWARE's mission, strategy and values.
Lead the sales and marketing activities of CCPL, focussing on:
- developing client relationships to generate new leads
- closing deals that come through the enquiry pipeline
- building CCPL's brand visibility (especially online)
- delivering consultancy, training, talks and / or coaching for CCPL.
Ensure that CCPL's business is carried out in alignment with AWARE's mission, strategy and values.
Identify new business opportunities for AWARE.
Corporate Relationship Management:
Cultivate and manage strong relationships with corporate partners of AWARE's subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with AWARE's mission, strategy and values.
Collaborate with AWARE's internal teams to tailor partnership opportunities that mutually benefit AWARE and / or CCPL and CCPL's corporate clients and allies.
Represent AWARE and CCPL in external forums, building a network of supporters and collaborators to amplify the reach of AWARE and CCPL.
Brand Strategy and Positioning of CCPL:
Develop and oversee CCPL's brand strategy ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand presence across all channels and that CCPL's brand is consistent with AWARE's mission, strategy and values.
Conduct ongoing market analysis, staying abreast of industry trends and competitor landscapes, and utilising insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Drive a culture of adaptability and innovation within the organisation based on market dynamics.
Team Leadership and Development for CCPL:
Provide visionary leadership to the business strategy and corporate partnerships team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
Attract, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring the team is well-equipped to achieve strategic objectives and is guided by AWARE's values.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years total of professional experience, with a robust background that includes at least 10 years in a senior leadership role, demonstrating a consistent track record of strategic decision-making and team management.
- Proven success in cultivating and sustaining partnerships with both corporate entities and individual donors, showcasing expertise in business development and revenue generation within the commercial sector.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue through innovative strategies, successful execution, and a deep understanding of marketing and branding principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, evidenced by a history of effective collaboration, alliance-building, and impactful presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage professional teams in alignment with AWARE’s mission, vision, and values, emphasising diversity, choice, gender rights, and respect for others. Proven aptitude for attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining high-calibre staff in roles that align with organisational goals.
- Well-versed in information systems and data management, showcasing proficiency in leveraging innovative tools and technologies to enhance organisational efficiency and effectiveness. Ideally experienced in digital marketing, demonstrating adaptability to evolving technological landscapes and a successful history of enhancing revenue through strategic marketing initiatives.
- Expertise in developing and leading comprehensive marketing and branding strategies to enhance organisational visibility and drive revenue growth.
- Proven ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with stakeholders and advance the organisation’s mission.
- Collaborative, energetic, and self-motivated individual with sound judgement, strong organisational skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. Possesses a positive, forward-thinking mindset that aligns with AWARE’s commitment to progress and innovation.
