Regional Head of IT (Singapore & China)

Strategy and Compliance (IT and IS)

  • To devise and implement IT strategy to support Branch’s evolving requirements. Familiarity with Trade, Treasury, Network, Branch Operations is essential.
  • To engage and coordinate with Head Office IT stakeholders in ensuring that local IT strategy and infrastructure is appropriately deployed.
  • To ensure branch’s IT function complies with Head Office policies and local regulations. Policy and process development: develop and review processes and policies relevant to functional discipline to ensure these are in line with regulatory compliance, and HO IT policy and procedures.
  • To prepare and maintain documentation of branch IT Infrastructure and IT Administrative tasks and procedures.
  • Coordinate with regulators and auditors to arrange rectification of their observation at the minimum TAT and manage the complete network of HBL with central banks to ensure accurate functionality of the tools provided by the regulators.
  • To actively attend, comply and resolve the issues pointed out by external & internal auditors, RCCU, regulatory authorities and HOK concerned departments/management and hold IT steering Committee meetings on prescribed timelines.
  • Played a pivotal role in implementing IS governance, risk, and compliance.

IT Operations Management

  • Responsible to manage the branch's key operational systems MISYS applications i.e. Equation, TI Plus, Opics, Fusion Cash Management and Swift Alliance, MEPS+ and resolve user operational issues regards to banking applications.
  • To manage and provide critical support in the maintenance of network equipment such as Routers, Firewalls, Encryptors, Switches, Modems, LAN, WAN, Email & PABX systems etc.
  • To manage and provide support in the management of Windows based servers and workstations.
  • Procurement and Management of IT inventory all hardware & software as per the policy, including maintaining, and updating the IT Asset list.
  • Resolve operational day-to-day problems referred to by other functions of the business, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service is extended to all internal clients.
  • To work with management and staff to ensure successful closure of IT issues.

IT Project Management

  • Lead the implementation of a project, either to meet regulatory requirements or defined by part of a business initiative or part of audit rectifications to deliver defined objectives.
  • To develop /facilitate product programs, BRDs and arrange approvals, escalating potential risks and delays, develop & implement/ track new IT projects/ products including regulatory projects and bank wide initiatives, in line with the business strategy/requirements.
  • Coordinate with business, IT (HoK), concerned stakeholders involved in the overall delivery of the IT projects including vendors.
  • Comply with ISRA/IS policy and to remediate vulnerabilities on network devices, CIS hardening on File server.

People Management

  • Allocate responsibilities and provide coaching and guidance to a team to enable the effective delivery of a range of IT operational processes.
  • To provide guidance and supervision to IT staff under charge.

BCM and Disaster Recovery

  • To coordinate meetings of the BCM Committee and update the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) as and when needed.
  • To conduct regular BC & DR drills and ensure staff are well trained in their areas of responsibility.
  • Co-ordinate recovery and manage branch IT disaster recovery, back-up procedures and safeguard of bank's data in alignment to branch business continuity plan and processes.

IT Vendor Management

  • To develop, manage and control vendor contracts, relationships, and performance for the efficient delivery of contracted products and services.
  • To liaise with vendors in area related to IT purchases and after sales maintenance agreement for support and services.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate Degree in Business IT
  • 10 to 15 years experience in IT management in corporate environment; preferably in FIs environment
  • Proven experience working in South Asian organizations is essential as this role will be the main liaison between Head Quarter (based in Pakistan) and local offices
