Job Description
Overall Job Purpose
· The engineer is to act as Electrical Commissioning Lead (entire Electrical Systems Lead), manage all Electrical system commissioning from preparation phase to execution phase.
· During commissioning preparation phase, responsible to attend Supplier Kick Off meetings to roll out package related commissioning requirements, review of Supplier documents, review ITR assignment and provide inputs for commissioning schedule.
· Prepare and review system boundary, commissioning procedures and commissioning deliverables.
· Support Commissioning Manager and Commissioning Project Engineer in the preparation of required tools, utilities, first fills and others for the commissioning activities of Electrical systems.
· Electrical Commissioning Lead is responsible for successful and safe commissioning of their area / system following the commissioning strategy set by Commissioning Manager.
· At times may act as a responsible commissioning engineer (owner) for few major systems in the area
· Work closely with MC Coordinator, Commissioning Coordinator for timely completion of the ITRs, mechanical completion and commissioning completion.
· Supervise day-to-day electrical commissioning activities are complied with Company’s Standards and Procedures.
· Identify and integrate Safety, Quality requirements in the electrical commissioning activities to ensure safe operability and maintainability.
· Understands the Completions philosophy and Scope of Work by studying the applicable industry standards, Company standards, specifications and procedures.
· Manages electrical commissioning PTW, electrical commissioning engineers, assigned technicians, operations support, supplier support and CLASS witness to execute the approved commissioning procedure including performance standards verification successfully, sign off the test reports and support for the system dossiers completion until handover.
· Studies the complex Company’s standards, business, operations and practices as well as engineering work matters/systems/procedures/standards within the tight project schedule in order to develop commissioning deliverables.
· Applies effective communication in discussions with various disciplines and departments in order to clarify complex information which is required as input for commissioning deliverables.
· Is expected to work independently and lead electrical commissioning team in order to complete the work schedule and fulfill the project timelines.
Requirements
· Bachelor in Engineering (Electrical)
· 7 years and above of relevant working experience in FPSO commissioning.
