Responsibilities:

  1. Translational Research Collaboration:
    • Collaborate on neurooncology projects, bridging the gap between laboratory findings and clinical applications.
  2. Bench Work:
    • Conduct experimental procedures exploring molecular and cellular mechanisms in neurooncology.
  3. Data Analysis:
    • Analyze data using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods, contributing to research publications.
  4. Clinical Validation:
    • Work with neurosurgeons, neuropathologists, and neurooncologists to validate research discoveries in human samples.
  5. Collaboration and Networking:
    • Establish and maintain collaborations within and outside the institution, attending conferences to stay updated on neurooncology advancements.
  6. Training and Mentorship:
    • Mentor junior team members and contribute to their academic and professional development.
  7. Grant Writing and Management:
    • Lead grant writing efforts and manage awarded grants, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
  8. Publication and Dissemination:
    • Author and co-author research articles for high-impact journals, present findings at conferences, and contribute to scientific discussions.
  9. Research Dissemination Strategies:
    • Develop strategies for effective dissemination of research findings to various audiences.
  10. Research Database and Documentation:
    • Establish and maintain a comprehensive research database, ensuring accurate documentation.
  11. Collaborative Publications:
    • Foster collaborations for joint publications, enhancing the visibility of the neurooncology research program.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) with specialized training in neurosurgery and neurooncology
  • Strong clinical and research expertise in translational neuroscience, particularly in neurooncology.
