Job Description

We are now looking for an experienced person to spearhead the retail sector. To create solid relationships with key retail partners and grow the company’s revenue in the assigned channel. Key responsibilities include growing the company's revenue by identifying new business opportunities to maximize distribution, sales and profitability in the modern trade channel. He/She is expected to work closely with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external parties. From time to time, he/she may be assigned other projects or tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

Account Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts within the modern trade sector.

Act as the main point of contact between the company and key clients, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to align strategies and achieve mutual business objectives.

Manage the operational set-up, monitoring and maintenance of campaigns and contents on the related channels; and day-to-day marketing / operations.

Sales Strategy:

Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue and market share growth within the modern trade channel. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential threats. Work with partners to execute 4P (product, price, place, promotion) strategies to achieve the desired sales target set.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

Negotiate and finalize agreements with key accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.

Manage contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance and addressing any issues that may arise.

Business Development:

Identify new business opportunities within the modern trade sector.

Explore and develop innovative ways to expand the company's presence in the market.

Market Analysis:

Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape. Use market insights to make informed recommendations for product development, pricing, and promotional activities.

Forecasting and Reporting:

Develop accurate sales forecasts and reports, providing regular updates to senior management.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of promotions, product launches, and other initiatives. Provide feedback to internal teams based on market insights and customer feedback.

Continuous Improvement:

Proactively identify areas for process improvement and efficiency within the key account management function. Stay updated on industry best practices and implement relevant improvements.

Job Requirements

· Proven experience as a Key Account Executive in the modern trade sector

· Well versed in Microsoft Office

· Ability to manage multiple projects

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Possess initiative, strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Able to work well independently as well as in a team

· Diploma / Degree in Business Management / Marketing or equivalent is an added advantage

· Possessing driving license is an added advantage
