Job Description
- Safely operate and drive waste collection trucks in adherence to traffic laws and safety guidelines.
- Collect and transport waste materials from residential, commercial, and industrial locations to disposal sites.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for waste collection.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during waste collection and disposal activities.
- Interact professionally with customers during waste collection, addressing inquiries and concerns in a courteous manner.
- Ensure proper sorting and disposal of different types of waste, including recyclables and hazardous materials, in accordance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily waste collection activities, including the amount and type of waste collected.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure, and coordinate with maintenance staff for more complex repairs.
Requirement
- Possess Class 4/5 driving license (Good record)
- With prime mover, vacuum truck or flatbed experience preferred.
- Able to read and write simple English
