Key Responsibilities:
- Business Growth: Lead the charge in pursuing, sourcing, developing, and expanding our Full Life Cycle Solution business within the region. Your goal is to increase sales, revenue, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Localized Solutions: Develop and implement tailor-made value-added solutions that cater to the specific demands of the region. These solutions should prioritize engineering optimization, cost reduction, and shorter lead times.
- Innovative Solutions: Drive the creation and execution of new, competitive, innovative, and differentiating solutions for both Aftermarket and New Units sales in the region.
- Collaborative Efforts: Actively collaborate with our New Units and Aftermarket Sales & Service teams, Engineering departments, colleagues, partners, and external suppliers to enhance both Aftermarket and New Units solutions and boost regional sales.
- Sales Support: Provide comprehensive support for our product sales, including preparing quotations, technical specifications, follow-ups, clarifications (both commercial and technical), and order submissions for internal approval.
- Technical Expertise: Offer expertise in equipment sizing, review customer specifications and requirements, and respond to customer queries.
- Engineering Documentation: Take responsibility for preparing engineering documents, conducting design reviews, creating tender proposals, and submitting documents to customers.
- Sourcing and Outsourcing: Handle sourcing and outsourcing matters, including specifying buyout items, sourcing suppliers, engaging in commercial and technical discussions, issuing purchase orders, and expanding the supply chain.
- Document Management: Maintain up-to-date records and common databases, including equipment documents, drawings, solution lists, engineering data, and vendor documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurance by verifying that supplied goods meet the company's engineering and quality standards. Conduct inspections during and after manufacturing.
- Customer Engagement: Cultivate and strengthen customer relationships and engagement.
- Team Leadership: Manage, collaborate with, lead, educate, and mentor team members, authorized distributors, and business partners.
- Partner Development: Support the development and training of existing and new business partners, distributors, agents, and dealers.
- Technical Issue Resolution: Work closely with the company's sales and service teams and vendors to assist distributors and customers in resolving technical issues on-site.
- Geographic Flexibility: Be prepared to be based in Singapore or other ASEAN countries if required.
- Ethical Standards: Adhere to high ethical standards as outlined in the company's Basic Code of Conduct.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements:
- A degree in an engineering-related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience in handling Compressor solutions engineering and application engineering.
- Knowledge, experience, and a passion for handling centrifugal/screw/reciprocating compressor business in the Asia Pacific Region.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas and cross-functional discussions.
- Excellent rapport building and negotiation skills.
- Strong initiative with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with Japanese companies is an advantage.
- Willing to travel frequently within the Asia-Pacific Region, such as ASEAN (travel frequency: 50% and above).
