Key Requirements
- Education (Bachelor's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or related degree and at least 9 years of as a DBA.)
- At least 3 years’ experience as PostgreSQL DBA on large scale production – must
- At least 4-year experience with MySQL or Oracle – must
- Familiar with Linux and Shell Script Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Hands on experience in Oracle Database & Real application cluster (RAC) administration - 11g,12c,18c,19c
- Familiar with other databases such as Oracle/MSSQL/MongoDB
- Experience with SQL tuning
- Familiar with AWS Cloud
- Familiar with Database DevOps (Bash Scripting, Chef, terraform, Ansible and GIT)
- Familiar with Python Programming in Automation and RESTAPI’s
- A team player with good interpersonal skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support hundreds of PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle DBs
- Proactively monitor for systems health and performance
- Support the development team, processes design and sql tuning.
- Develop Procedures/automations/kits to be used by support/ cloud production engineers.
- Support additional systems based on Oracle/MSSQL/MySQL and other DB technologies
- Support multiple DB technologies on large scale production systems both on Private cloud (multiple Data centers worldwide) and AWS
- Explore new technologies and features.
- Collaborate with development groups, infrastructure engineers, cloud - production team and others.
