We are seeking a highly motivated and aspiring individual to join our team as a Junior Legal and Compliance Executive. This role will focus on providing essential legal and compliance support to GoNetZero, particularly as we expand our operations into new markets, such as the European market.
GoNetZero is backed by Singapore Stock Exchange-listed Sembcorp Industries and is the carbon management business of Sembcorp Industries.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver legal and compliance services in alignment with corporate goals and strategies.
- Provide legal support and advice to internal stakeholders and senior management on various legal and compliance matters.
- Draft, review, and assist in negotiating commercial agreements, including sales and purchase agreements for Environmental Attributes (EA), Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements, licensing agreements, and project consultancy agreements.
- Review and offer recommendations on legal aspects related to existing commercial relationships, addressing pre-litigation disputes, and handling inquiries.
- Assist in the implementation of company policies, procedures, and standards related to legal and compliance matters.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and actively manage regulatory developments and compliance updates.
- Provide timely support on legal and compliance inquiries across operational aspects.
- Contribute to and support other projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Possess a Law degree at least 2 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Exposure to the tech sector would be beneficial.
