We are looking for a General Manager to oversee the team.
This team mainly conducts financial research, especially for Rakuten Group’s expansion to the Southeast Asia region. The research includes market analysis, competitors analysis, the overall strategy for business opportunity, etc. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive.
Responsibilities
- Management of financial research team
- Conduct research based on client’s needs as a playing manager
- Liaise with respective departments and external stakeholders to resolve issues
- Review contracts between clients and their counterparty from a business perspective (not for legal check)
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses for a project
- Negotiation with clients about requests
- Assist start-up’s business launch
- Prepare research report for clients
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure the team follows health and safety regulations
- Any other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in relevant financial industry (Preferable online broker experience)
- Minimum 5 years of management experience
- Proficient in MS Office & Excel
- Business level in Japanese to communicate with Japanese clients
- Meticulous, able to multi-task and possess positive attitude
- Diligent and result-oriented and with strong sense of responsibility to meet tight deadlines
- Preferably to start work immediately or within short notice
