Summary of Job Position:

Responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting to management and external parties in accordance to accounting standard, practices and regulations. Maintain proper & accurate records of General Ledger, sub-ledger control accounts, balance sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.

Support FC and AFC in staff engagement, deployment, training, welfare, recruitment, grievances & disciplinary issues. Manage and supervise team from Accounts Payable, Payroll, Income Audit and General Cashier.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements for management and corporate office.
  • Prepare financial data and statistics for monthly management report/comments.
  • Prepare monthly expenses and balance sheet schedules for management.
  • Prepare standard & other journals entry with supporting documents for FC/AFC approval.
  • Ensure all expenses are taken up correctly and provision made for expenses incurred.
  • Check monthly financial statements for their correctness and consistency before finalizing.
  • Prepare reconciliation and detailed transactions records to support input and output taxes claimed for GST purpose according to tax authority.
  • Submit GST returns to corporate office timely.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statement before finalizing of account.
  • Reconcile inter-company balances every month.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget.
  • Prepare and submit information relating to Property Tax to the authority.
  • Submit periodic or yearly statistics survey for hotel industry and other statutory board.
  • Supervise and manage Accounts Payable, Payroll, Income Audit and General Cashier. Ensure all reports and functions are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Requirement:

Degree in Accountancy

  • At least 5 years relevant experience. Prior experience in the hotel industry is a plus
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management and solutions-oriented
  • Accounting Software knowledge such as SAGE. Proficient in MS Excel.
