Finance/Accounting Associate
We are looking for a Finance/Accounting Associate who is capable and enthusiastic about a role that requires proactive communication skills, good office management capabilities, and an appetite for teamwork, working with managers in supporting the business.
As the Finance/Accounting Associate, you are responsible for the daily commercial and administrative duties of the business and supporting the finance team with bookkeeping requirements. Reporting to the Managing Director / Business Manager, you will also be assisting in the administrative operations of the business, handling confidential and time-sensitive materials. This role will provide a great stepping stone in your career, you will gain valuable knowledge and skills as you build towards a more Financial or Business Management role.

Job Description
- Preparation of monthly Management reports, with the insightful commentaries and analysis of Group performance.
- Preparation of financial forecasts, data and any ad-hoc requests from Management.
- Preparation of cash flow forecast for the monthly management reporting purpose.
- Assist in the preparation of Budget and Forecasts for the Group, including engaging with various stakeholders and preparation of presentation materials.
- Support various process harmonizing and improvement initiatives.
- Be an effective back up for Group consolidation when required.
- Complete and/or contribute in various ongoing other ad-hoc projects.
- Support Finance Manager in monitoring, maintaining and improving the reporting structure and templates, including resolving issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee, manage and consolidate Budgeting and Financial Forecasting
- Ensure accurate and timely month end closing, financial and management reporting and in compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and tax regulations
- Review monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance
- Bank reconciliation statement
- Review journal entries
- Cash flow monitoring
- Oversee AR and AP
- Follow up on discrepancies with vendors/ internal departments
- Submit key financial reports to management and auditor
- Liaising with auditor for Audit
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- At least 5 years of working experiences in accounting with full sets experience, preferably in Trading Industry
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Meticulous and Strong Analytical Skill
