People Partner, India and Emerging Asia

Core Responsibilities

  • Key driver of all People Partner related activities for India and Emerging Asia BU.
  • Accountable to all different streams for implementation of HR activities.
  • Accountable for implementation of end to end people agenda in IEA business.
  • Coach and sparring partner for the General Manager, IEA and leadership team, both at project conceptualization and implementation phase.
  • Supports leadership team in org design, talent management and engagement agenda.
  • Accountable for governance in own area (org design principles i.e. spans and layers, FTR baseline etc).
  • Demonstrates CoE’s as business needs arise that can be supported through our Operational teams.
  • This role also supports the India site lead agenda including driving compliance activities on HR / policies, employee relations cases and other “site HR” related things.

The LEGO Group's People, Places and Culture (PPC) organisation includes a few areas: Talent, Reward & Insights, Diversity & Inclusion and People Partnering.


People partnering covers mainly Business partnering and also local operations that includes employee relations, benefits, policies and execution. The partnering organization is responsible for developing and deploying the people & culture agenda in line with TLG strategic direction. The operations organization serves as a backbone to enable the partners and the business in providing relevant solutions on people processes respecting geographical and site nuances.


The APAC People Partnering team reports to the Global Partnering leader. Key partners include the APAC Market group leadership team, APAC leaders, ELT people partners.


This is a critical role and will support the People & Culture agenda for India and Emerging Asia, which is part of the Asia Pacific Market group.

The role will be part of project team working on scaling up business in IEA and be part of the IEA leadership team, reporting to Regional head of Partnering & Operations.


The main purpose of this role is to implement the end to end people agenda in India and Emerging Asia based on direction set by HR/ PO&D Leadership. Eventually, this role will also be the Site lead, that also owns the HR operations agenda for IEA site such as employee relations, compliance related work and the like.

Do you have what it takes:

  • 8 years or more relevant experience as HR Professional (HR Partner role preferred, but also has experience working on other support functions such as Comp & Ben, Mobility)
  • Experience in working in a global matrix organisation
  • Capable of establishing and managing good relations to many different units and people at all levels in the organisation
  • Business understanding and some experience within project work and project tools
  • Open minded, structured, and a strong collaborative demeanor
  • Strong partner management
  • Prior experience with any India and Emerging Asia market entry projects will be a plus
