Logistics Coordinator (Material Planner)

Our Client, a US MNC is looking for a Logistics Coordinator (Material Planner) to join them. This role will require the incumbent to perform both physical and planning duties.

Strategic Material Management

  • Develop and execute plans for the timely procurement of hardware, including racks and machine trays, aligning with operational requirements and forecasted volumes.

Daily Logistics Coordination:

  • Oversee daily logistics activities, such as shipping, receiving, and internal material movements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address logistical challenges and ensure materials are delivered on schedule.

Systematic Tracking and Quality Control:

  • Work closely with the supervisor to maintain accurate records and systematically track incoming materials within the system.
  • Implement quality control measures to promptly identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Conduct routine ground material checks to verify the accuracy and condition of incoming shipments.

Order Management and Vendor Communication:

  • Manage and process orders for hardware racks, machine trays, cables, and related materials to meet project timelines.
  • Address tracking system issues efficiently and communicate effectively with vendors to prevent delays in hardware delivery.

Metrics Oversight:

  • Monitor build Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and proactively alert supervisors/teams to potential issues or misses.

Support to Supervisor and Team:

  • Provide necessary data, reports, and insights into material availability, status, and forecasts to assist the team supervisor in informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with management to optimize logistics processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in material planning and logistics coordination.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in tracking systems and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
