Introduction
- Our Assistant Producer / Videographer at Learns will primarily be working within our video production and post-production teams. You will be involved in conceptualising ideas for some of our projects, coordinating with selected clients, involving in shoots, to liasing with our team of editors to deliver the final product.
- Note that only our production work is done on-site. All pre-production and post-production work will be done from home... no office work. Hurray!
What Responsibilities Will You Hold?
- Report to and work with the director, producer and other team members on day-to-day operations... Duh!
- Conceive ideas and storyboard video projects together with the producer and clients. Yes, we'll need your brains.
- Manage on-site production activities, including operations of camera, lights and sound equipment. In case you are curious, we use mainly Sony gear.
- Be involved in post-production line with our post-production team to deliver high quality products on time for our clients.
- And if you want, you can even be in front of our cameras to be the star that you always wanted.
What Qualities Should You Possess?
- First and foremost, you should already have basic knowledge of camera operations. We can train you to handle our gear, but you should at least know the fundamentals.
- You have to also be imaginative and creative in coming up with ideas for our clients' projects.
- You should be able to interact with clients, to sieve out requirements from them and manage their expectations during the deliver of their videos. We don't need you to be a sweet-talking salesperson, but at least you shouldn't be afraid to talk to people.
- You must want to continually improve, be spontaneous and take initiatives.
- You must be able to work as a team player in a small team to handle a few projects simultaneously. But when required, you have to be able to work independently as well.
- You should dislike working in offices and during office hours... yup, no typos here. But we expect you to contribute towards a 40 to 44-hour workweek though. And yes, we hate to work 60-hour weeks as much as you do.
- But you must be able to work during nights, weekends, and potentially holidays as required, as there are no fixed office hours.
- At the end of the day, the most important things are your willingness to learn, be better in everything that you do a year from now, and want to contribute back to the team and the company.
What Academic Qualifications Must You Have?
- Well, we don't really care if you're graduating from a uni, a poly or an ITE. In fact, we don't really look at your grades. Learns Marketing is hoping to get you in with the attitude in wanting to work hard, learn continuously and grow together.
- Even if you don't possess every one of the qualities above, but want to learn, feel free to apply. But our advice is... do know what you're signing up for. If you are purely looking to make a lot of money, or have a regimental work life, there are numerous other ways to do so than to join our small and hardworking team... or even work in the creative industry for that matter.
- But if you want your competence and creativity in videography to be showcased, and love to contribute in a team in a small company, then this post could be the best thing for you!

- Learns Marketing (operated under LearnSuperMart Pte Ltd) is a video production company that specialises in combining videos with digital marketing into our clients' projects.
- Since 2016, we have produced close to 1,700 videos for our small business and solopreneur clients in industries such as property, financial advisory, car dealership, tuition, training, and many more. Our clients includes SBS Transit, RSAF, WSG, Sembcorp Marine, NUS Business School, Propnex, Finexis and more!
- Our work include mainly marketing type of videos for our clients, but we do produce short films, cinematic ads, and also a lot of videos for YouTube, Instagram and even TikTok for our own and client channels too.
- As Learns Marketing is a small company, so we don't like all the red tapes and rigid work practices assorted with big MNCs as much as you. And so we treat every one of our team members... as team members! We don't strictly have a hierarchy system where you must report to a "boss". We work together... we learn together... and we will grow together.
- Hey, and did we say you don't need to work in a boring office, and strictly abide by office hours? In fact, you don't even have to report to work in any office most of the time!
