Objective Summary
To provide value added FX service to clients plus helping the desk for execution in securities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coverage of major currencies, emerging market currencies and precious metals.
- Provide value added FX advisory services to direct dealing clients and RM in Singapore, Hongkong and Dubai markets
- Engage active direct dealing clients for trading opportunities.
- Ensure smooth, quick and “best price” executions.
- Assist the team in weekly FX presentation/ market updates/Monthly contributions to publication when required.
- Covering duties when the cash equity dealer is away from work.
- To execute direct dealing equity clients orders with voice brokers and also via electronic platform. Equity orders include exchange listed options too.
- Pick up in FX volume
- More direct dealing transactions.
- More ideas generation
Requirements
- Knowledge of futures trading an advantage
- Ability to early start at 7am as part of 24Hr dealing crew
- At least 8 years of relevant experience (More experience required for the Director function)
- Ability to go the extra mile for the client. Follow up on clients’ needs and quick response.
- Pay attention to details. Know the existing exposure and prepare for exit strategies on worst case basis.
