Our client are seeking an experienced Mall Development Manager to play a pivotal role in overseeing the setup and ongoing operations of a prominent shopping mall located in China, while being based in Singapore. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the Chinese retail market. The Mall Management Manager will not only be responsible for optimizing the overall performance of the China-based mall but will also be actively involved in the setup phase, ensuring a seamless launch and subsequent success, all while operating from our Singapore office.
Responsibilities:
Mall Setup and Operational Management:
- Lead and actively participate in the setup phase of the shopping mall in China, working closely with construction and project management teams.
- Oversee day-to-day operations remotely from the Singapore office, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning post-setup.
- Collaborate with department heads to coordinate activities and maintain high operational standards.
Tenant Relations:
- Manage relationships with tenants during the setup phase and post-launch in China, addressing concerns, and ensuring compliance with lease agreements.
- Work closely with leasing teams in China and Singapore to attract and retain high-quality tenants.
- Facilitate communication between tenants and management, fostering a positive business environment.
Customer Experience:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers in China during and after the setup phase.
- Monitor and address customer feedback and concerns promptly.
- Plan occasional visits to China to understand customer dynamics and implement initiatives to promote engagement, loyalty, and satisfaction.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for the mall in China, ensuring financial targets are met during both the setup and operational phases.
- Analyze financial reports and market trends in both China and Singapore to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Implement cost-effective measures to optimize the mall's financial performance.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns for the mall in China.
- Plan and organize events in China to attract foot traffic and increase the mall's visibility during and after the setup phase.
- Utilize digital marketing and social media platforms to promote the mall in both China and Singapore.
Security and Safety:
- Implement and enforce security protocols in China to ensure the safety of customers and staff during the setup and operational phases.
- Work with security teams in both locations to address and resolve security issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail or mall management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of the Chinese retail market and consumer behavior.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Ability to analyze market trends and implement strategies accordingly.
Working Days and Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm
