Assistant Logistics Manager

The Assistant Logistics Manager will support the Operations Team in planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the supply chain and logistics operations. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency. The Assistant Logistics Manager will also play a key role in team management, vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Operations Team to oversee the planning and managing of Logistics Operations to ensure the delivery of logistics service that meet customer requirements.
  • Supervise and lead the logistics team in the daily activities and training needs.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective support for the inventory items.
  • Ensure logistics processes follow established management system and policies.
  • Follow up with suppliers on materials and quantity requirement revisions, rate adjustments/ rebates, and the provision of incorrect materials.
  • Establish and liaise with freight forwarder for all import and export activities, rates and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of logistics operations and safety performance.
  • Ensure timely system updates of Logistics transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Review and analyse logistics performance against targets, benchmark and service agreements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation for all logistics activities.
  • Any other matters delegated by superiors.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics software and tools.
  • Familiarity with supply chain regulations and compliance.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
