Position Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineer that will be an active member of an international virtual team, providing technical support for system integration project of ATM client software into customer environment with comprehensive Diebold Nixdorf product knowledge and customer requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work on software development, implementation and / or configuration in Professional Services projects.
- Work with commercial and corporate developed products.
- Interface directly with customers or field personnel in developing customer specifications, requirements, and support.
- Improve software engineering methods and processes within his / her local area.
- Individual must be able to work in a team environment and deal well with customer support issues.
- Customize, integrate and/or develop complex SW components and systems.
- Utilize standard DN solution elements and development procedures and develop re-usable solution elements if required.
- Take responsibility of testing and QA within the development team
- Produce, update, review and modify implementation and operating documentation of SW solutions and changes according to DN SW documentation guidelines and in line with customer needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Services, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in software application development.
- A pragmatic, but innovative problem solver
- Experienced in enterprise architecture, Java (EJB), SOA, Microservices, containerization, API and modern integration methods ( e.g. Kafka)
- Experienced with SQL ( e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres)
- Willingness to travel at short notice and spend longer periods abroad.
- Knowledge of the methodology & tools of agile software development - preferably SCRUM, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Nexus, SonarQube, etc.
- Advantage to possess experience of card( debit and credit) and/or cardless payment projects and, of various flavors of ISO8583 implementations as well as keeping up-to-date with Payment standard.
- Fluent English communication skills and comfortable interfacing with external clients.
- Readiness to work remotely as part of virtual teams or onsite support at customer environments, depending on project demands.
- Experience in international projects delivery with involvement of both internal and external departments / parties.
- Understanding of CEN-XFS, NDC/DDC standards will be an advantage but not a must.
- Experience ATM industry / Self-Service Banking will be an advantage but not a must.
Preferred
- Good knowledge of the scope of services of the Diebold Nixdorf software portfolio for banks – especially in the domain of payments applications. Relevant Banking experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as virtualization, containers, high availability, data security, as well as the design and operation of cloud environments
- Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and automation technologies.
- Certification in Cloud ( e.g. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) would be advantageous.
- Experience with Shared ( ATM or POS) networks as well as the global card schemes.
- Exposure to other payment standards for messaging ( e.g. ISO20022)
- Experienced with card management system (card issuing ) and fraud detection.
