Siemens Smart Infrastructure's Smart Building Solutions unit seeks an experienced Solution Architect(Presales Engineer) focus on Fire Detection and Gas Suppression solution in Singapore. This role involves ensuring high-quality solution design proposal with competitive pricing. As a part of Siemens, the position provides the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a high-growth environment, collaborating with diverse teams and contributing to business growth in Singapore. The role is based in Singapore, with limited travel.


You’ll make a difference by:

  • Collaborate with Sales Managers in Fire Detection and Gas Suppression for bid estimation.
  • Partner with regional technical support teams to provide Technical Support and Bidding Support.
  • Drive, develop, and align Fire Detection and Gas Suppression strategy in coordination with sales teams.
  • Support regional organizations in growing Fire Detection, Gas Suppression, and Physical Security/Digital solutions.
  • Facilitate the handover of solutions to Project Execution teams and collaborate with approved vendors for overall solutions.
  • Enhance bid estimation competence in local organizations through continuous improvement.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of commercial and technical offers in compliance with Siemens Bid Approval process, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
  • System configuration, sizing, and costing of Siemens addressable EN Fire alarm systems, Smoke control systems, Gas based fire suppressions systems, PA/GA, & Voice evacuation systems etc.

You’ll win us over by:

  • Degree in Engineering or related qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Strong technical knowledge in EN Fire Detection & Gas Suppression industries.
  • Familiarity with local fire standards, Codes of Practices, and Authority requirements.
  • Proven experience in medium to large Fire Alarm, Graphics, Aspirated smoke detection, and fire suppression projects.
  • Ability to design, size, and estimate various fire-related systems, including water-based firefighting systems.
  • Working knowledge of IP networking, Siemens EN and/or UL Fire portfolio, and technical experience in Security solutions are advantageous
