What you will be responsible for

As Client Relationship Manager, you will

  • Be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing client relationships with institutional asset owners such as central banks, public pensions, sovereign wealth funds, insurers and governmental entities in South East Asia. The role will work closely with the Head of Institutions for South East Asia and also requires close collaboration with the Client Relationship Management team responsible for Asia ex-Japan to ensure that excellent operational servicing is maintained and that SSGA is seen as a trusted advisor.
  • Take ownership of client experience, focus on business retention and increase visibility with clients through coordinating client relationship management activities with sales and internal stakeholders to satisfy and exceed client needs.
  • Coordinate with various departments for new business take on, onboarding and day-to-day servicing of clients.
  • Partner with Sales to identify and explore sales and business opportunities through on-going proactive contact initiatives with prospects and existing clients.
  • Provide sales support to the Institutional team to help drive our sales strategy across our full product suite, including index, actively managed and multi-asset class strategies. This involves working closely with Sales to facilitate the preparation of RFI, RFP and Due Diligence Questionnaire.
  • Build positive relationships across the broader sales, relationship management, product marketing, investments, legal, and other internal teams critical to the end-to-end client lifecycle. You will also engage with colleagues across State Street divisions to best position SSGA and broader firm solutions to our clients and prospects.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • University graduate in business, finance, economics or a related discipline
  • 5 to 10 year experience with financial firms, regulators or investment consulting firms
  • Existing relationships with South East Asia institutional clients is a plus

  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
