- Salary: Basic from $5000 - $6500 + AWS + VB
- Working Hour: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm)
- Location: Tuas
Job Scope:
- Manages 3 warehouses; 6,000m² of outdoor and 19,000m² indoor space & a workforce of 18 warehouse personnel
- Complies with legal, customs & industry certifications/standards requirements on local, bonded & licensed warehousing, material handling, shipping requirements & all safety aspects. Study existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Drives warehouse operations through 2 core teams of staff; material handling, customer service and records keeping. Ensures that receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations are well coordinated and progressed as planned
- Interfaces with the customer’s key leaders and internal departments to plan workflow, react to changes, drive improvement programs and resolve issues
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Manages inventory accuracy by conducting physical counts when applicable; reconciling with data storage system
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse & open yard by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Achieves financial objectives by prompt submission of billing instructions & verification of claims & costs. In addition, the preparation of annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results/projects as assigned
