KEY ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To assist the manager to administrate, manage and enhance logistics operations (from starting to end) in order to meet with customers’ instructions & requirements, direction / targets given by Management, Geodis Singapore policies, and relevant requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties on logistics arrangements (queries, SOP, operations topics, complaints, claims, etc)
- Lead and support the team (problem solving, training / development, necessary tools & equipment, efficient work flow, etc).
- Proactively participate in Business Excellence Program of the company.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL AND / OR TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATES
- Diploma and above qualification in logistics or related equivalent qualification.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- 5 years of working experience or more in logistics industry required
- 2 years in leadership related experience
- Experience in warehouse operations and operations development – daily productivity, operation output, irregularity handling
- Keen on logistics processes, and relevant regulations.
- General knowledge on logistics and freight forwarding businesses
- Proficiency in WHS management preferred
- Awareness and knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety
NECESSARY TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Competent in computer skills and common applications (Office, Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
- Effective communication
- Team management – ability to lead, guide, support and develop the team members
