Resident Engineer, Water Main Project

At Jacobs, we recognize these challenges, and our engineers, scientists, and planners are working together with clients to find the right solutions to their water challenges.

Jacobs Singapore would like to welcome a Resident Engineer (RE) to join our Water team working on exciting Water Main upgrading projects across Singapore. Jacobs role is The Client's Representative for contract supervision works. Main duties:

  • Working with the PM in charge and contract management, carrying out site supervision of contractors’ teams
  • Enter the manhole or sewer for inspection, when necessary.
  • Review Contractor submissions and assess progress claims with QS.
  • Manage and work closely with RTOs, STOs, WSHOs and PROs assigned to the project
  • Systematically manage and update daily data on all records of the programme.

To be a successful candidate you shall possess:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Possess RE certificate from the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in site supervision of civil engineering, including a minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Water Main projects in Singapore
  • Proficient in civil and structural design software and Ms Office Suite

Other information

  • 44 working hours (5.5 days) per week
  • 36 months fixed term contract renewable
