The position is a hands-on role within Group Risk Management in managing/supporting the following functions:
Risk Strategy & Assurance
The Risk Strategy & Assurance pillar is mandated to assist Singtel in accomplishing its business objectives by adopting a systematic and disciplined approach to Risk and assurance programs.
Group Risk Strategy
Reporting to the Senior Director, Risk Strategy & Assurance directly, the role will support the reinvigoration and upskilling of the overall risk management culture and processes for the group across business units. The role includes leading group-wide programs and partnering with the business directly to ensure improvement and effective implementation of the existing Control and assurance Framework.

The role is expected to work in a team or independently on the following:
- Support the roll-out and implementation of the control and assurance framework, including the assurance mapping exercise and ensuring its successful implementation.
- Provide a structured mapping of assurances and an understanding of the sources of assurance and their scope.
- Clarify, rationalise, and consolidate multiple assurance inputs, providing greater oversight of assurance activities for the Senior Management in line with risk appetite.
- Assure that significant inherent risks are being managed to an acceptable level within the Organization’s risk appetite.
- Promote a risk and control awareness culture through awareness programmes (communications, workshops, training, dialogues, etc.) and sharing of past learnings.
- Support ad-hoc projects such as Partnering with stakeholders on special projects to ensure consistency in applying Risk & assurance methodology and support the strengthening and improvement of processes.
Skills for Success:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, IT or Engineering.
- Proven experience with defining, implementing, and drafting policies/standards about control and assurance management will be preferred.
- Proven track record with transformation & change leadership program
- Experience in working in a challenging business environment with proven capabilities in organizing, summarising, and presenting complex information.
- Proven track record with leading scenario planning exercises, implementing risk sensing capabilities and validating various risk and measurement models
- Advanced knowledge of risk management and control concepts, leading risk management practices and standards (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO).
- Possession of relevant auditing certifications and/or experiences
- Strong program management skillset and experience
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, tableau and/or PowerBI
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Highly driven, autonomous, and resilient
- Enjoy working in a dynamic and multi-cultural team and business environment
- Good communication (oral, written) and presentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Analytical and critical thinking
- Good to have an in-depth understanding of the telecommunications / ICT industry. These include the technology risks, competition and transformation developments in the telecommunications/ ICT industry, environmental hazards, and regulatory risks.
